HFF Filmworks is an independent production and rights management company operating in the United States and United Kingdom. Its activities span independent film, documentary production, recorded music, publishing, and arts and cultural programming.
The business began in 2014 as Arcadia Media & Entertainment, a music publishing fund established to acquire rights and produce crossover recordings. Working in partnership with Universal Music, Arcadia developed a catalogue spanning urban music, jazz, crossover, and alternative rock.
In 2020, UK-based Zermatt Media Investments (ZMI) acquired Arcadia and relaunched the business as ZMI Rights Management, broadening its activities across documentary and independent film production, publishing, and intellectual-property management. In 2026 the company restructured to become HFF Filmworks for productions, and ZMI for music releases and rights management.
Under its leadership, the company draws on experience encompassing dozens of independently produced narrative films, documentaries, notable crossover music releases, and cultural productions developed and released. ZMI develops and produces original work through HFF Filmworks and ZMI Records while managing a growing catalogue of film, music, literary, publishing, and related intellectual property.
