ZMI Rights Management is an independent production and rights management company operating in the United States and United Kingdom. We produce documentaries, independent films, music releases, and arts and cultural programming, with particular experience in international coproductions and projects involving history, nature, music and the arts.

Alongside our own productions, we provide rights management, licensing and clearance services for producers, broadcasters, media companies, publishers, institutions, estates and archives. We work closely with rights holders and creative partners to resolve complex ownership and licensing matters while protecting the integrity and long term value of the underlying material. Our independence gives us the flexibility to work across film, music, publishing and the arts as a producer, rights manager or specialist project partner.

The company began in 2014 as Arcadia Media & Entertainment, a music publishing fund focused on acquiring rights and producing crossover recordings. In partnership with Universal Music Group, Arcadia built a catalogue spanning urban music, jazz, crossover and alternative rock.

In 2020, UK based Zermatt Media Investments acquired Arcadia and relaunched the business as ZMI Rights Management, expanding its activities into documentary and independent film production. Today, the company operates principally through FilmCo ZMI and ZMI Records, alongside its publishing, media and rights management activities. FilmCo ZMI serves as the principal creative and production vehicle for producer and executive producer Chadwick Hagan.
